Under The Blanket (Newborn Session Flow and Posing Fundamentals)
*Prices in CAD
Ever wonder what goes on under the blanket to get baby posed just so, or how to position babe so the light falls perfectly on their face? Or, how to pose babe in dad's arms, or mom interacting with her new baby? See where the posers go, under the blanket.
Under The Blanket includes my full session workflow and all my posing taught with videos and PDF. Pull-backs and set-up for beanbag, parent, real bed, back-lit, and more.
It is ideal to have White With Studio Lights AND Pure and Simple Backlighting to fully compliment this course.
Under The Blanket was created in 2016 and continually updated. Update now available. See what’s going on ‘Under The Blanket’ … on the blanket, off the blanket…
I name my poses.
Here you have my tushie up ... my wrapped around ... and my ultimate squish ...
In my Under The Blanket update, I show how to achieve each one, how to flow from one to the next (and all my posing).
I am a systems gal. I started off by creating a flow for myself - literally a flow chart with bubbles and arrows. If babe is awake, then what, if asleep, then what ... with minimal disruption, then what?
Then one day, it hit me, I had a full flow. It's MY flow, it's what works for ME. But, I really think it can work for most!
I created it in slide format, with set-up names, and how to add to poses ("add hands" "add kiss") to vary it.
I printed it off (four pieces of paper) and taped them up in my studio. Now I don't draw a blank, I take a peek at my flow.
I use it to show parents what we are working towards.
Scroll the pictures here, and you’ll see a ‘pull-back’ image, one that I have in my UTB PDF ... (and similar in my posing video) this is how I set up the PDF. Images like this. I got asked often if I have a pull-back of certain captures. Well, typically not, I try to crop in camera. But this is the best way to show it.
